Founded 1896 (Midland Great Western Railway)

Founded in 1896 by the Midland Great Western Railway Company to complement the grand Mulranny Park Hotel, Mulranny Golf Links is one of County Mayo's most charming and authentic coastal golf venues.

An Authentic Natural Links Experience

The course is situated on a protected coastal **machair plain**—a rare European seaside turf environment created by windblown shell sand. Because the links are built on commonage land shared with grazing sheep and cattle, every green is surrounded by a low protective wire fence. Local rules permit golfers a free drop if a shot lands near a fence line!

Why Play Mulranny Golf Links?

  • Fast-Draining Machair Turf: Natural sandy soil ensures excellent playing conditions year-round, even in winter.
